Custom Blinds in Singapore
Choose the movement first, then match the material, mounting detail and control method to the opening and the way the room is used.

Choose the movement
Three blind systems, each with a different strength.
Window width, opening direction, desired view, cleaning routine and available recess space all help determine which mechanism deserves a closer look.

Roller blinds
A flat fabric panel rolls upward into a compact profile. Screen, light-filtering and blackout materials produce different results.

Venetian blinds
Horizontal slats tilt to redirect light and sightlines without raising the whole blind, giving precise directional control.

Vertical blinds
Tall vanes rotate for privacy and draw sideways, making the system practical across balcony doors and wide glazing.

Decide what should happen when the blind is down.
Material changes the balance between outward view, diffused light, glare, privacy and room darkening. Assess samples in changing light, not only under showroom lamps.
Swipe the table sideways to compare every row.
| Material | Daylight effect | Useful for | Know before choosing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screen | Retains a degree of outward view | Bright living rooms and work areas | Privacy changes with the relative light inside and outside |
| Light-filtering | Softens and diffuses daylight | General living areas, studies and kitchens | Does not provide the same night privacy as opaque material |
| Blackout | Uses opaque blind material | Bedrooms, media rooms and stronger light reduction | Light can still enter at the side and bottom gaps |
| Slats or vanes | Tilts to redirect light and views | Rooms needing adjustable sightlines | Requires more regular dusting than a flat fabric panel |

Resolve the edges
Blackout material does not remove every light gap.
Roller-blind fabric must sit within its brackets and tube, which creates side gaps. Recess depth, roll direction, overlap, coupled blinds and suitable side-channel options can change the outcome.
- Check handle, grille, ledge and opening-window clearance.
- Decide whether one wide blind or several panels is more practical.
- Reserve space for the roll, brackets, headrail or motor.
- Plan safe manual controls or access to the motor and power.
Motorised blinds
Useful for height, repetition and coordinated control.
Motorisation can coordinate several blinds and remove loose manual operation from daily use. The tube, motor, load, power, access and control method should be specified together.
